Mumbai Police have arrested a 20-year-old youth from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, accused of threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddiqui. The arrest was made on Monday, following threats sent to MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui’s helpline number on Friday.
According to an official from Nirmal Nagar police station, the suspect initially sent a threatening message to Siddiqui’s helpline. Shortly afterward, he made a phone call, in which he threatened both Siddiqui and Salman Khan. The police registered a case on Monday after gathering technical evidence to trace the individual.
The suspect is being transported to Mumbai for further questioning. Authorities are examining the motive behind the threats, with the ongoing investigation expected to provide more insights.
This incident occurs shortly after the tragic death of Zeeshan Siddiqui’s father, NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead on October 12. The recent threats have heightened concerns, and Mumbai Police have stated they are taking the matter seriously to ensure the safety of all involved.
