The US government, under President Donald Trump, is preparing to deport a second batch of illegal Indian immigrants. According to sources, more than 150 Indians who had entered the US illegally may be sent back this week. However, Indian officials have not officially confirmed this yet.

Earlier, on February 5, a US military cargo plane carrying 104 illegal Indian immigrants landed at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar. These deported individuals had reportedly entered the US through illegal routes, such as the “donkey route,” after spending large sums of money. Many had been living in the US for the past two to three years.

The US action comes at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Washington for official talks with President Trump. One of the key topics in their discussions is expected to be illegal immigration. Meanwhile, India’s External Affairs Minister assured Parliament that efforts are being made to ensure that deported Indians are not treated like criminals.

Reports suggest that the Indian government has conveyed its concerns to the US, especially after the first batch of deported immigrants was allegedly handcuffed and shackled during their journey. The group included women and children, raising concerns about their treatment.

As of now, there is no confirmation on which airport in India the second batch of deportees will land. The situation is being closely monitored, and further updates are expected soon.
