Union Minister of State for Health, Prataparao Jadhav, has urged states, including Punjab, to ensure the efficient use of central government funds allocated under the National Health Mission (NHM) and to strictly follow the provided guidelines. During a review meeting held on Tuesday with senior officials from the Union Health Ministry and representatives from Punjab, Karnataka, and West Bengal, Jadhav emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules and maximizing the impact of the allocated funds.
The minister listened to suggestions from the states and called for better coordination between the states and the central government to address challenges and improve health services nationwide. Jadhav stressed that cooperation and open communication are key to solving issues and enhancing healthcare delivery systems. The review meeting highlighted the central government’s focus on improving health infrastructure and ensuring that funds under the NHM are used effectively for various health schemes.
