Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray emphasized that recent events in Bangladesh demonstrate the supremacy of the people, urging governments not to test their patience. Addressing journalists, Thackeray called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to protect Hindus facing violence and torture in Bangladesh. He highlighted the need for swift action to ensure the safety and rights of the Hindu community amidst the turmoil in Bangladesh.
When asked about the potential for a similar situation in India, Thackeray underlined the importance of respecting the will of the people. “There is only one message. The people are above all, and no leader should test their patience,” he asserted. Thackeray’s remarks underscore his belief in the power of the populace and the necessity for government accountability and protection of vulnerable communities, reflecting his stance on the need for strong, people-centric governance.
