A stampede at the Baba Siddheshwar Nath temple in Jehanabad, Bihar, claimed the lives of seven people and left 16 others injured. The tragic incident occurred during a religious gathering, leading to chaos and a rush among the devotees.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed deep sorrow over the incident and announced compensation for the affected families. The families of the deceased will receive Rs 4 lakh each, while those injured will receive Rs 50,000 each. Authorities are investigating the cause of the stampede and have assured that steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
