Because of this, in Ludhiana also in favor of AAP supremo, AAP MLAs, ministers and workers staged a one-day hunger strike outside the office of Police Commissioner Ludhiana and slogans were raised against the central government in this strike. He said that democracy is being strangled due to such arrests, and the public will answer this in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. AAP leaders also said that as Sanjay Singh has come out of jail, similarly AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia will also come out of jail soon. He also said that as the major ministers of the opposition are being arrested, it seems that the Modi government is beginning to see its defeat.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, his ministers and Aam Aadmi Party workers participated in this hunger strike. All of them held this hunger strike at Khatkar Kalan.
