Although Tesla has not officially confirmed its plans for India, the hiring activity suggests preparations for its operations in the country. An email seeking confirmation about the company’s sales launch in India went unanswered.

This recruitment drive comes shortly after Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to the U.S. Musk had earlier expressed interest in bringing Tesla to India, citing the country’s growing market for electric vehicles.

Tesla’s potential entry into India has been a topic of discussion for years, with hurdles like import duties and local manufacturing requirements delaying its plans. However, the latest hiring suggests the company may finally be moving forward. If Tesla enters the Indian market, it could boost the EV industry and increase competition among carmakers.
