Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22. The attack claimed the lives of 26 tourists and sparked strong reactions across the world against terrorism.
In response, the Indian government has taken strict action. It has cancelled the visas of Pakistani nationals and ordered them to leave India within 48 hours. Along with this, India has also put a hold on the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, which had been in place for several decades.
These bold steps from India have left the Pakistani government in a state of panic. In what appears to be a counter-move, Pakistan has now announced missile tests. The government of Pakistan has issued a notification stating that it will test land-attack missiles on the Karachi coast on April 24 and 25.
Following this announcement, Indian security agencies have increased their vigilance. They are closely monitoring Pakistan’s actions to prevent any potential threat. Defense experts in India believe this could be an attempt by Pakistan to provoke or send a warning, but India is taking all precautions to maintain national security.
The situation has become quite serious, with people in both countries hoping that tensions do not escalate into a larger conflict. International communities are also observing the developments and urging peace and dialogue between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
The Pahalgam attack has once again raised concerns about cross-border terrorism and regional stability. As the world stands against such acts, it remains to be seen how both countries will handle the growing pressure and whether peace can be restored through diplomacy and cooperation.
