The Supreme Court has declined to hear a petition challenging the Centre’s decision to cancel the UGC-NET exam. Justice DY Chandrachud’s bench stated that the petition was not filed by the students directly affected by the decision.
The court emphasized that petitions must be brought by those with a direct stake in the matter to be considered. As a result, the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam remains in effect, and any further actions or appeals will need to be pursued by those directly impacted by the decision.
