The decision to strike from January 15 to 17 in Punjab’s government offices has been called off. The Revenue Officers Association took this step after meeting Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian. The minister assured that their demands would soon be addressed.
Earlier, the D.C. Office Employees Union had announced the strike after consulting state and district leaders. They had planned to halt work in all D.C. offices, S.D.M. offices, tehsils, and sub-tehsils for three days. The union expressed frustration over the government’s delay in fulfilling their demands despite repeated reminders.
Following discussions with the minister, employees are now satisfied and will not proceed with the strike. Citizens can visit government offices without worry, as services will continue uninterrupted.
