The Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, unveiled its inaugural list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. The announcement marked a blend of continuity and strategic recalibration within the party’s electoral lineup. While seven sitting MPs secured re-nomination, one notable omission was observed as the party opted to drop its incumbent representative from Ramtek in Nagpur district.

The list of candidates includes familiar faces such as Rahul Shewale from Mumbai South Central, Sanjay Mandlik from Kolhapur, Sadashiv Lokhande from Shirdi, Prataparao Jadhav from Buldhana, Hemant Patil from Hingoli, Srikanth Barne from Maval, and Dhiryasheel Mane from Hatkalangde.

However, the decision to replace the sitting MP from Ramtek, Kripal Tumane, with Raju Parve signals a strategic maneuver by the Shiv Sena, potentially aimed at revitalizing its electoral prospects in the constituency. This calculated move underscores the party’s willingness to adapt and optimize its candidate selection strategy ahead of the fiercely contested Lok Sabha elections. With the stage set for political battles to unfold, the Shiv Sena’s candidate roster sets the tone for an intriguing electoral contest in Maharashtra.
