In a fiery address to traders in Budhlada and party workers in Mansa, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal lambasted the ruling Congress and newly-elected Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, accusing them of rampant corruption and administrative paralysis.

Speaking in Budhlada, Badal asserted that both the Congress and AAP had failed the people of Punjab, alleging widespread corruption and collusion with drug traffickers among state MLAs. He pledged the Shiromani Akali Dal’s unwavering commitment to the people, positioning his party as the sole protector of Punjab’s interests.

Highlighting the deteriorating state of affairs, Badal decried the “jungle state” that Punjab had become under the current administration. He vowed to unveil evidence linking MLAs to drug trafficking, promising to bring justice through public scrutiny. Badal emphasized the growing discontent among Punjab’s populace, citing widespread disillusionment with the incumbent government.

Addressing a rally in Mansa, Badal criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for stalling administrative processes, likening the situation to the gridlock witnessed in Delhi. He accused Mann of neglecting his duties, leaving official files unsigned for months and contributing to the state’s administrative inertia.

Badal also highlighted the accessibility and rapport of Shiromani Akali Dal Lok Sabha member Harsimrat Kaur Badal, contrasting it with the perceived detachment of other political representatives.

As Punjab grapples with mounting challenges, Badal’s impassioned rhetoric underscores the intensifying political landscape, setting the stage for heightened opposition against the ruling parties.
