Following the solemn prayer, Sukhbir Singh Badal and other Akali leaders departed for Attari, marking the official commencement of the Punjab Bachao Yatra. Mr. Dhami, addressing the media, emphasized that the Yatra would traverse various districts and cities in the state, intending to apprise the public of the government’s perceived failures.

According to Mr. Dhami, the Aam Aadmi Party, currently in power, came into office with grand promises to the people. However, the state is grappling with a rampant drug issue, and the overall law and order situation is reportedly deteriorating. The Punjab Bachao Yatra, as envisioned, will serve as a platform for Sukhbir Singh Badal to engage with the residents of Attari and Rajasansi assembly constituencies during its inaugural leg.

The Yatra is poised to be a comprehensive outreach initiative, bringing the leaders closer to the grassroots. It aims to facilitate direct interaction with the people in villages and cities, enabling them to voice concerns and grievances. The leaders plan to present a detailed account of the government’s alleged failures, focusing on issues such as the drug epidemic and declining law and order.

As the Punjab Bachao Yatra unfolds, it is anticipated to be a dynamic and impactful journey, resonating with citizens who may be grappling with the effects of these purported failures. The Shiromani Akali Dal appears steadfast in its commitment to shed light on what they view as critical issues affecting the well-being of the people of Punjab. The Yatra’s trajectory through different regions of the state will likely amplify its reach, providing a platform for dialogue and discourse on the governance challenges faced by the people.
