Defense Minister Rajnath Singh took a jibe at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing an election rally in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri, Singh expressed his wishes for Kharge to live for 125 years, stating that Modi would remain the Prime Minister for a long time.
The remarks came after Kharge felt dizzy while addressing an election rally in Jammu’s Jasrota but later recovered. After regaining his composure, Kharge commented that he would not die until Modi was removed from power.
Rajnath Singh highlighted this incident during his rally, emphasizing the apparent animosity that Congress holds towards Modi. He stated, “Yesterday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s health deteriorated during a rally. He then said he would remain alive until Modi is removed from power. I pray that Kharge lives for 125 years because Modi ji will be the Prime Minister for a long time.”
Singh used this opportunity to point out what he described as the negativity of Congress towards the Prime Minister. His remarks indicate the ongoing political friction between the ruling BJP and Congress as they campaign ahead of various elections.
