Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has condemned the attack on the Gujarat Congress headquarters in Ahmedabad, calling it a “violent attack” and accusing the ruling BJP of spreading violence and hatred. The incident occurred on Tuesday during a protest against Gandhi’s comments in the Lok Sabha, leading to stone-pelting between BJP and Congress activists outside the party office.

In a post shared on X, Rahul Gandhi stated, “The cowardly and violent attack on the Gujarat Congress office reinforces my point about the BJP and the Sangh Parivar. People of BJP who spread violence and hatred do not understand the basic principles of Hinduism.”

Gandhi, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, asserted that the people of Gujarat are aware of the BJP’s deceit and will hold them accountable in the upcoming elections. He expressed confidence in the ‘India’ coalition’s victory in the state.

In response, the BJP accused Congress activists of attacking a “peaceful protest,” while the opposition blamed the BJP for instigating the violence. The clash has further escalated tensions between the two major political parties in Gujarat.
