In the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi accused the central government of trapping the youth, farmers, and the poor in a crisis reminiscent of Abhimanyu’s entrapment in the cycle of fire. He drew a parallel between the ancient warrior’s plight and the current state of the nation, claiming that just as the army was surrounded and defeated, the government has ensnared all of India in a difficult situation.
Gandhi highlighted the plight of farmers who, despite their demands, have not received a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their produce. He criticized the government for failing to address this pressing issue, which has left many farmers struggling.
In his speech, Gandhi asserted that the India coalition, a political alliance, is committed to addressing these concerns. He promised that if they come to power, they will provide legal guarantees for MSP, aiming to resolve the longstanding issue and support the farming community effectively.
