In a significant update, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema revealed the itinerary for the upcoming budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, set to span from March 1 to 15. Commencing with the Governor’s speech on March 1, the session will feature a debate on March 4, followed by the presentation of Punjab’s next fiscal year budget on March 5. March 6 will witness deliberations on the budget, with various legislative activities scheduled until the session’s conclusion on the 15th.
Minister Cheema expressed condolences for the tragic death of a 21-year-old youth on the Khanuri border. Emphasizing Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s direct engagement with the bereaved family, Cheema assured that an appropriate decision would be taken. The entire budget proceedings will unfold within the Legislative Assembly, with additional tasks subject to the advice of the Business Advisory Committee.
