Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the BJP-led government in Maharashtra during a rally in Gadchiroli. She claimed that unemployment in the state has worsened because several major projects were shifted to Gujarat.
Priyanka accused the ruling alliance of diverting public attention from real issues by polarizing society. She urged voters to recognize these tactics and demand accountability from the government.
She targeted the Mahayuti government for schemes like the Ladki Bhaina Yojana, under which women receive Rs 1,500 per month. Priyanka encouraged women to prioritize long-term development over short-term benefits and vote for a better future.
Priyanka promised that if the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) comes to power, farmers will receive Rs 7,000 per quintal as a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for soybean crops.
Taking aim at the BJP’s slogan “Ek hain to safe hain,” she pointed out that the term “safe” implies both security and financial vaults. Priyanka alleged that only industrialist Gautam Adani is “safe” under BJP’s rule, as he has access to government resources while ordinary citizens struggle.
She also raised concerns about tribal lands being handed over to private companies. Priyanka promised that the MVA would prioritize safeguarding tribal rights and promoting accountability.
Focus on Employment and Support
If voted to power, Priyanka assured the public that the MVA would create employment opportunities and work for the betterment of all citizens.
