Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed from Nigeria this evening to attend the G20 summit in Brazil. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared the update on the social media platform ‘X’, announcing, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Brazil after his memorable visit to Nigeria.”

During his visit, PM Modi and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu held discussions on expanding relations between the two nations. President Tinubu described the visit as historic and highlighted the potential for cooperation in various areas. He emphasized the opportunities for partnership in trade, investment, education, energy, and healthcare, stating that both countries would work together for mutual welfare and growth.

PM Modi’s visit to Nigeria is seen as a step toward strengthening ties with Africa’s largest economy, enhancing India’s outreach in the region. The discussions focused on ways to foster economic growth, create employment opportunities, and increase educational exchanges.
