Kishore had embarked on a 3000 km ‘padyatra’ across Bihar two years ago, which began from Champaran, the site where Mahatma Gandhi started his Satyagraha. This journey was seen as an effort to understand people’s issues and connect with them. Kishore, originally from the Jampal Brahmin community in Rohtas district of Bihar, aims to provide a new political alternative to the people of Bihar through his party.

Known for his expertise in election management, Kishore has been influential in strategizing electoral victories for multiple parties. With Jan Suraj Party, he is working to build his support base and challenge established leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the BJP leadership in Bihar. His entry into active politics marks a significant shift in the political landscape of the state.
