Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said his visit to the United States will be a great opportunity to build on the successes achieved in India-US relations during Donald Trump’s first term as President.
Before leaving for his visit to France and the US, Modi stated that the trip would help strengthen cooperation in technology, trade, defence, energy, and supply chain resilience.
This will be Modi’s first meeting with Trump since he began his second term as the US President. Modi expressed confidence that both leaders would work together for the mutual benefit of their people.
“I look forward to meeting my friend, President Trump. During his first term, we worked closely to establish a comprehensive global strategic partnership,” Modi said.
Before heading to the US, Modi will visit France from February 10 to 12 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. He will co-chair the AI Action Summit, where global leaders will discuss the future of artificial intelligence.
The Prime Minister’s visit to these two countries is expected to boost India’s role in global technology, trade, and security. Modi emphasized that India is committed to deepening its partnerships with both France and the US.
