These books include a biography titled ‘Venkaiah Naidu – Life in Service’, ‘Celebrating India – The Mission and Message of Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu as 13th Vice President of India’, and a Telugu biography titled ‘Mahaneta – Life and Journey of Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu’. Mr. Modi expressed confidence that these books will inspire people and guide them in serving the country.

He highlighted Naidu’s journey from being a farmer’s son to holding high positions as Union Minister and Vice President, emphasizing his experiences and dedication. Despite his seniority in the party, Naidu chose the Rural Development Ministry in former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s cabinet to serve villagers, farmers, and the poor. Mr. Modi mentioned key initiatives taken during Naidu’s tenure as Urban Development Minister, including the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and ‘Smart Cities Mission’.

Modi also noted that during Naidu’s tenure as Rajya Sabha Chairman, the bill to abrogate Article 370 was passed with dignity, even though the government did not have a majority in the upper house. He credited activists like Naidu for the BJP’s growth into a strong political force. He hoped that when Naidu celebrates his 100th birthday in 2047, India will have emerged as a developed nation. Naidu thanked the Prime Minister for releasing the books.
