Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Google CEO Sundar Pichai in Paris on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit. They discussed the vast opportunities artificial intelligence (AI) brings to India and ways to collaborate on the country’s digital transformation.
Sharing pictures on ‘X,’ Pichai expressed his excitement about the meeting. He wrote, “Delighted to meet Prime Minister @narendramodi today in Paris for the AI Action Summit. We discussed the opportunities AI brings to India and ways to work together on India’s digital transformation.”
This was their first meeting since they last met in New York in September 2024.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of AI, stating that it is reshaping politics, the economy, security, and society. He emphasized that AI is “writing the code for humanity in this century” and that we are at the dawn of an AI-driven era.
The AI Action Summit in Paris has brought together global leaders, technology experts, and policymakers to discuss the future of AI and its impact on the world. India’s growing digital economy and AI potential remain key areas of interest for global tech giants like Google.
