In a recent development, Yoga Guru Ramdev and Managing Director Balakrishna of Patanjali Ayurveda Limited have tendered an unconditional apology to newspapers for their misleading advertisements. Presented before the Supreme Court, the duo expressed regret for their errors in the advertisement case. Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah directed their counsel to ensure the apology letters are published within two days.
Furthermore, Ramdev and Balakrishna’s legal representatives assured the court that additional advertisements would be released, emphasizing the sincerity of their apology. Senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, representing both individuals, disclosed that apologies had been published in 67 newspapers nationwide on Monday.
The Supreme Court has set the next hearing for April 30, maintaining vigilance over the case. This move signals a significant step by Patanjali towards rectifying any misleading information disseminated through its advertisements, underlining the importance of transparency and accuracy in commercial communications.
