The Crime Branch of Orissa Police has informed the Judicial Commission led by Justice CR Dash that the polygraph tests of five suspended policemen, accused in the alleged torture of an army officer and sexual harassment of his fiancée, have been completed. The case revolves around an incident from September 15, when the officer, based in Gujarat, visited Bharatpur police station to file a complaint and faced mistreatment.
In addition to the polygraph tests, brain mapping and narco-analysis of Dinakrishna Mishra, the former inspector-in-charge of Bharatpur police station, have also revealed evidence of the alleged torture and harassment. The Commission is investigating the claims that police personnel mistreated the officer and his fiancée during their visit.
These findings are part of an ongoing investigation by the Judicial Commission, which aims to ensure accountability for any wrongdoing. The case has garnered significant attention due to the involvement of police officers and the serious nature of the allegations. The commission’s report will help determine the next steps in this sensitive case.
