A major topic of discussion was the growing demand to re-fix the reservation limits in government jobs. The cabinet decided to form a sub-committee to engage with all stakeholders and address the issue effectively.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Chowdhury, Chief Secretary Atal Dullu, and other ministers. This marks the second cabinet meeting of the government since taking office over a month ago.

Jal Shakti and Forest Minister Javed Ahmed Rana stated that the meeting also covered developmental matters. He said, “Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, we discussed critical issues related to employment, reservation, recruitment, and overall development.”

The sub-committee on reservations will gather inputs from stakeholders, aiming for a balanced and inclusive approach. The government emphasized its commitment to addressing public concerns and fostering development in the region.
