The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol is wanted in connection with several high-profile cases, including a shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai last April.
Officials report that Anmol has been placed on the NIA’s most wanted list, following suspicions of his involvement in the shooting near Khan’s home. In addition to this, he is also accused of orchestrating the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui on October 12 in Bandra, Mumbai.
Anmol Bishnoi’s brother, Lawrence, remains incarcerated in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat. Authorities had issued a lookout circular for Anmol in April when he reportedly took responsibility for the firing incident outside Khan’s residence.
The NIA’s action to publicize the reward and heighten the search underscores the seriousness of Anmol Bishnoi’s alleged crimes. The agency hopes that the reward will encourage individuals with information to come forward, aiding in the investigation and potentially leading to Anmol’s capture.
