Why NEET is Pen and Paper-Based Again
The National Medical Commission (NMC) decided to stick to the offline mode for NEET-UG. Officials believe this format ensures fairness and accessibility for all candidates, including those in remote areas with limited access to technology.

What NEET Means for Students
NEET-UG is a crucial exam for students seeking admission to medical colleges across India. Each year, lakhs of students compete for 1.08 lakh seats in MBBS courses. Of these, 56,000 seats are in government colleges, while 52,000 are in private institutions.

More Than Just MBBS
NEET isn’t limited to MBBS admissions. It also determines admissions to undergraduate programs in dentistry, Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha. This makes it a vital exam for aspiring healthcare professionals across various disciplines.

Why the Decision Matters
The shift back to pen and paper comes at a time when digital exams are gaining popularity. However, experts argue that the OMR-based format reduces technical issues and ensures a level playing field for students, particularly in rural areas.

NEET Aspirants Must Prepare Accordingly
With the exam confirmed in offline mode, students are advised to practice solving OMR sheets. Time management and accuracy will play a key role in achieving success. The exam will test their knowledge, preparation, and speed.

NEET-UG remains a gateway to medical careers, shaping the future of healthcare in India.
