The Medical Counseling Commission (MCC) has postponed the NEET-UG counseling session, which was scheduled to commence today for the All India Quota. As of now, no new dates have been released by the MCC for the counseling process. NEET-UG counseling is crucial as it determines admissions to MBBS and BDS courses based on the candidates’ ranks in the NEET-UG exam.
The delay has created uncertainty among the candidates who were eagerly awaiting the start of the counseling process. The postponement comes amidst an ongoing controversy surrounding NEET, which is scheduled for a hearing in the Supreme Court on July 8. The outcome of this hearing could potentially impact the future course of the counseling process.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the NEET-UG exam on June 4. Since then, aspirants have been preparing for the counseling sessions to secure their seats in medical and dental colleges across India. The delay in the counseling schedule has added to the anxiety of the students and their families.
The MCC has assured that updated information regarding the new dates for the counseling sessions will be provided in due course. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on official announcements to stay informed about the latest developments.
