Modi Approves Revised NITI Aayog Composition

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the revised composition of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), aimed at enhancing the country’s policy formulation and implementation process. This significant move introduces Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as an ex officio member, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive and diverse policy-making.

In addition to Chouhan’s appointment, several Union Ministers have been included as special invitees. These include JP Nadda, HD Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Ram Mohan Naidu, Jual Oram, Chirag Paswan, and Annapurna Devi. The inclusion of these experienced leaders is expected to bring a wealth of knowledge and varied perspectives to the NITI Aayog, fostering more comprehensive and effective policy decisions.

NITI Aayog, established in 2015, plays a crucial role in driving India’s development agenda, focusing on promoting cooperative federalism, fostering competitive federalism, and ensuring the involvement of states in policy-making processes.
