Top ministers from the outgoing Narendra Modi cabinet, including Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah, are expected to retain their positions in Modi 3.0, according to sources. Former Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar and former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai have reportedly received calls for induction as ministers.

Key figures likely to continue include Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Pralhad Joshi, Arjun Meghwal, Rao Inderjit, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Jitender Singh. New faces such as North West Delhi MP Kamaljit Shehrawat and Maharashtra’s Raksha Khadse are also set to join the cabinet.

Despite losing his seat in Ludhiana, Ravneet Bittu may be included, reflecting the BJP’s strategic decisions. BJP Tamil Nadu chief K Annamalai, recognized for his mobilization efforts, might receive a ministerial role despite the party’s lack of seats in the state.

A significant indicator of ministerial appointments will be invitations to tea with PM-designate Narendra Modi at 11:30 am. Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and S. Jaishankar are expected to retain their current ministries, while Hardeep Puri and Ashwini Vaishnaw are likely to continue as ministers. Additionally, JP Nadda is anticipated to join the Union cabinet as his term as BJP chief concludes in June.

This reshuffle signifies a blend of continuity and change, aiming to strengthen the government’s agenda in Modi’s third term.
