The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light fog for Delhi on Friday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 27°C, while the minimum temperature will drop to 10°C. Thursday night was the coldest this season, with a minimum temperature of 10.2°C. Earlier this week, the minimum temperature was 11.2°C on Wednesday and 12.3°C on Tuesday. In comparison, last year’s lowest temperature during this period was 10.6°C in 2023 and 11.5°C in 2022.
Delhi experienced cold winds and dense fog, with the maximum temperature recorded at 27°C, slightly below normal. Humidity levels varied between 80% and 64% during the day.
Delhi Ranks Poorly in Air Quality
Delhi’s air quality remains a concern. A report by ‘Respire Living Sciences’ ranked the city 281st out of 281 cities for air quality. The analysis, conducted from November 3 to November 16, found that the main pollutant was PM 2.5. These tiny particles, about the size of a human hair, pose significant health risks when inhaled.
Efforts to control pollution and protect public health remain critical as Delhi battles both poor air quality and cold weather.
