The deadline for applying for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) – UG has been extended to April 5, as announced by UGC Chairman M. Jagdish Kumar today. This extension marks the second time the deadline has been prolonged. Initially set for March 26, it was first extended to March 31. The decision to extend the application deadline came in response to demands from exam takers and others, providing relief to prospective candidates.
The CUET-UG, aimed at centralizing admissions in central, state, deemed, and private universities nationwide, is scheduled to be held between May 15 and May 31. Since its inception in 2022, the CUET has been instrumental in streamlining the university admissions process, offering a standardized platform for students seeking higher education opportunities across various institutions.
The extended deadline offers aspiring students additional time to complete their applications, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in the country’s diverse academic landscape.
