Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies in Maharashtra, accusing the government of failing to control food prices. Speaking out against what he described as a “triple engine government,” Kharge alleged that this administration, which he claims “seized power through the back door,” has made basic necessities unaffordable for the common man.
Kharge voiced concerns about the increasing cost of essential food items, arguing that this economic strain is depriving the people of Maharashtra of their basic needs. He further stated that the people of the state are frustrated with the current government and are ready to make a change in the upcoming assembly elections on November 20.
With the elections approaching, Kharge’s remarks are a clear indication of the Congress Party’s intent to challenge the BJP-led coalition in Maharashtra. He called upon voters to end the current government’s term, expressing confidence that the people’s discontent with high prices and inflation would translate into votes for change.
