In her place, Trinamool Congress leader Saket Gokhale has been appointed to the Parliamentary Committee on Communication and Information Technology. The change signifies an adjustment in the party representation within this important committee overseeing technology and media-related issues.

Additionally, Rajya Sabha member A.A. Rahim from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and R. Girirajan have also received new committee assignments. Both leaders are now members of the Parliamentary Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs, which is chaired by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor. This committee focuses on policies and issues related to urban development and housing.

These changes reflect the regular reassignments that occur in Parliament, ensuring members with varied expertise contribute effectively to different sectors and committees, impacting public policy and development.
