In response to the ongoing farmers’ movement, authorities have issued orders to suspend internet services in various regions along the Punjab-Haryana border, affecting areas like Khanuri and adjoining regions for the past two days. The shutdown extends to three districts – Patiala, Sangrur, and Fatehgarh Sahib – with services expected to remain halted until 11.59 pm on February 16.

The decision to cut off internet services coincides with the anticipation of a Bharat Bandh tomorrow. Dr. Fatehgarh Sahib MP, Amar Singh, expressed concern over the move, highlighting its impact on the public. Singh revealed that during the farmers’ march from Fatehgarh Sahib to Haryana on February 13, locals reported the sudden closure of internet services. Despite efforts to restore connectivity, it remained disrupted until Wednesday.
