Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 69-ball 121 and Rinku Singh’s explosive 69 off 39 deliveries played pivotal roles in India’s resurgence after a shaky start. Afghanistan’s bowler Fareed Ahmad Malik emerged as the most successful, finishing with impressive figures of 3/20, though he faced a tough challenge from the dynamic duo of Rohit and Rinku.
India won the first two matches convincingly to seal the three-match series.
