External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar concluded his visit to the UK on Sunday, reaffirming strong ties between India and Britain. His visit focused on enhancing strategic cooperation and deepening bilateral relations. The Ministry of External Affairs released a statement highlighting key meetings and discussions held during the trip.

Jaishankar ended his tour with a visit to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hosted by UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. They also watched a football match between Tottenham and Bournemouth. Sharing his experience on social media, Jaishankar wrote, “Good match in great company.”

During his week-long visit to the UK and Ireland, Jaishankar held high-level meetings with several British leaders, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Deputy PM Angela Rayner, Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds, and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper. His discussions covered trade, security, and cooperation in various sectors.

The visit marked a positive step toward strengthening India-UK ties, with both sides exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
