This victory strengthens India’s position at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) standings. Moreover, it adds to India’s dominant record, marking their 18th consecutive Test series win on home soil. India’s bowlers played a crucial role, with Ravindra Jadeja taking 3 wickets for 34 runs, Jasprit Bumrah grabbing 3 for 17 runs, and Ravichandran Ashwin also picking up 3 wickets for 50 runs. Akashdeep added one wicket, conceding 20 runs. Bangladesh struggled against the disciplined Indian bowling attack, with opener Shadman Islam being the top scorer for the visitors, making 50 runs.

In their chase, India had a shaky start, losing captain Rohit Sharma for just 8 runs and Shubman Gill for 6 runs. However, a solid third-wicket partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli stabilized the innings and led India to victory. Jaiswal played an excellent knock, scoring 51 runs, while Kohli remained unbeaten at 29. Together, they added 58 crucial runs, ensuring an easy win for India.

The series win is a testament to India’s continued dominance in Test cricket, especially at home, where they remain nearly invincible. The Indian team’s all-round performance, combining a strong bowling attack and a solid batting response, ensured they secured the series without much difficulty. This win boosts India’s momentum as they aim for a top spot in the World Test Championship.
