The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory for Indian citizens, asking them to avoid non-essential travel to Iran. Indian citizens living in Iran have also been urged to remain alert and maintain contact with the Indian embassy in Tehran.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “We are closely monitoring the recent escalation in tensions in the region…Indian citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel to Iran.” The advisory aims to ensure the safety of Indians amid the heightened unrest.
India has also called on all concerned parties in the region to exercise restraint to prevent the situation from worsening. The statement emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic efforts, urging all sides to find peaceful solutions.
With tensions on the rise, India’s priority remains the safety of its citizens and encouraging a reduction in hostilities to maintain stability in the region.
