The Deputy Commissioner of Malerkotla has announced a holiday on 17th July to observe Muharram (Yom-e-Ashura). All government and private offices in Malerkotla will remain closed on this day.
However, this holiday will not apply to students who have scheduled exams in schools, colleges, or other institutions. This ensures that the academic schedule remains uninterrupted while allowing the rest of the community to observe the significant occasion.
