At a rally in Thanesar, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini made a significant announcement that the state government will purchase all crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Currently, Haryana buys 14 crops at MSP, and the state plans to add approximately 10 more to this list. This move is aimed at ensuring fair prices for farmers and supporting agricultural sustainability in the region.
In addition to the expanded MSP program, CM Saini also declared that the state government will waive water bills for farmers, amounting to more than Rs 133 crore. This decision is intended to provide financial relief to farmers, easing their burden and promoting better agricultural practices. By addressing both pricing and resource costs, the Haryana government aims to enhance the overall welfare of the farming community. These initiatives reflect the administration’s commitment to supporting farmers and boosting the agricultural sector in the state.
