A tragic gas leak in the Secunderabad Industrial Area has claimed the lives of two workers. The incident occurred during a trial run at an engineering plant set to be inaugurated at Plot No. 5 of the industrial area.
The deceased have been identified as Satyendra, a resident of Gulavathi, and Ankush Thakur, a resident of Moradabad. Poisonous gas began leaking from a pipe during the trial, quickly spreading throughout the plant. Both workers succumbed to the toxic fumes.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the incident and directed officials to expedite relief efforts. He emphasized ensuring the safety of other workers in the area and preventing such incidents in the future.
The plant management is now under scrutiny for possible lapses in safety measures. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the gas leak and whether negligence played a role.
