In a surprising turn of events, senior Akali Dal leader and former minister, Bikram Singh Majithia, has declared his intention to exit the political arena, but with a condition. Majithia has laid out five demands for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal, mirroring those he previously presented to the BJP. This ultimatum comes as a response to Kejriwal’s own five demands from the central government.
Originally, Arvind Kejriwal urged the central government to enhance the education system, improve healthcare, tackle inflation, generate employment for the youth, and provide free electricity to the underprivileged, including 24 hours of electricity for all. Now, Majithia has redirected these demands to the local context of Punjab.
Majithia’s conditions for Kejriwal in Punjab include the improvement of the state’s education system, quality healthcare accessible to all, measures to curb inflation, comprehensive youth employment initiatives, and ensuring free electricity for the economically disadvantaged. If Kejriwal fulfills these demands, Majithia pledges to step away from politics.
This unexpected twist has ignited speculation and anticipation within the political circles as the region watches closely for Kejriwal’s response to Majithia’s ultimatum.
