Tragedy struck on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway near Dayalpura village of Samrala as the ACP of Ludhiana East and his gunman lost their lives in a devastating collision. The accident occurred between a police officer’s Fortuner and a Scorpio coming from the opposite direction, resulting in a fatal collision.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the Fortuner caught fire, intensifying the rescue operation. Despite the swift response of the police and fire brigade, the ACP and his gunman succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the Fortuner was rushed to Ludhiana Referral Hospital for medical treatment.
The accident, which took place around midnight to 1 am, has left the community in shock and mourning. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the collision and ascertain any possible factors contributing to the tragic incident.
