Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misleading the country by claiming that a National Conference-Congress coalition government would revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah pointed out that after five years of BJP rule post-Article 370 abrogation, terrorism still persists. He questioned the source of weapons being used against civilians and soldiers, challenging Modi’s remarks linking terrorism to Article 370.

Meanwhile, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti stated that her party is contesting the Jammu and Kashmir elections to prevent the BJP from permanently dismissing Article 370 and burying the Kashmir issue. She criticized the BJP for its failure to conduct elections for the last decade despite claiming improvements in the region’s situation, highlighting the suffering of the people and the need for a responsive government.
