The Maha Panchayat convened at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan has attracted farmers from across the nation, uniting under the banner of the United Farmers’ Front to press their demands with the central government. The influx of farmers, particularly from Punjab, has surged, with key leaders of the Front including Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, Raminder Singh Patiala, and Prem Singh Gehlawat taking center stage.
However, the congregation has led to significant disruptions in central Delhi, as roads leading to the Maidan have been diverted by the Delhi Police, resulting in widespread traffic jams. Despite the inconvenience, the authorities are maintaining strict vigilance over the proceedings.
As the negotiations between the farmers and the government intensify, the collective voice of the farming community grows louder, echoing their grievances and demands for equitable policies. The Maha Panchayat serves as a pivotal moment in the ongoing struggle for the rights and welfare of farmers across the country.
