A loud explosion was reported near the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Delhi, early this morning. The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) confirmed that no one was injured in the blast. The explosion occurred near the boundary wall of the CRPF school in Sector 14 at around 7:50 AM, causing damage to the school’s wall, nearby shops, and a car parked in the area.
Following the explosion, teams from the National Security Guard (NSG), National Investigation Agency (NIA), bomb disposal squad, and police forensic units swiftly arrived at the scene to investigate. The Delhi Police stated that the blast was strong enough to cause visible damage, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the location, but as there was no fire, they returned shortly after. A senior police officer mentioned that the forensic and crime units have collected evidence from the blast site. While there is a possibility that the explosion may have been caused by firecrackers, authorities are thoroughly investigating the incident from all angles. Police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to gather more information. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
