Election Commission Rejects Congress Allegations of Election Irregularities

The Election Commission has dismissed recent allegations by the Congress party regarding irregularities in the Haryana Assembly elections. In response to Congress’s concerns, the Commission emphasized that the party’s claims are raising unnecessary doubts over the credibility of the entire election process. This dismissal comes in a letter addressed to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.

In the letter, the Commission criticized the Congress party’s actions, stating that such behavior is not expected from a national political party. It further expressed its concern over Congress’s approach, suggesting that similar doubts have been raised by the party in previous elections.

Reiterating its commitment, the Election Commission assured that it values the role of political parties in maintaining and enhancing electoral democracy. The Commission stressed that it remains dedicated to handling and addressing any election-related complaints promptly. It highlighted the importance of constructive participation by all parties to ensure trust in the democratic process and encouraged political entities to avoid actions that may cast unnecessary doubt on election outcomes.
