The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted raids at eight locations as part of an ongoing investigation into a money laundering case linked to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The case involves Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his family members, and several associates.
Sources indicate that ED officials searched seven to eight properties in Bengaluru and Mysore, targeting the homes and businesses of a prominent builder and his associates in Bengaluru. These raids come just days after a similar operation on October 18, when ED officials searched the MUDA office in Mysore, along with several other locations, to gather evidence in connection with the alleged financial irregularities.
The investigation is part of a broader effort by the ED to uncover details of suspected financial mismanagement and money laundering within MUDA, a body responsible for urban planning and development in Mysore. The ED has yet to release an official statement on the specific findings from today’s raids, but the involvement of high-profile individuals, including the Karnataka Chief Minister and his family, has drawn significant public and media attention. The investigation continues, with further developments anticipated in the coming days.
